Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the 'Terms') constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Beacons Grant Solutions L.L.C., a United States limited liability company ('Beacons', 'we', 'us'). The Terms govern your access to and use of the Beacons Grant Solutions platform (the 'Platform'). By creating an account, submitting an application, executing a Beneficiary Declaration, or accepting funds disbursed by Beacons, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

1. The service

Beacons operates a global platform through which eligible entrepreneurs and accredited business-development firms may apply for, track, verify, and (where approved) receive grant funding. Use of the Platform is currently provided to applicants free of charge, subject to Section 5 of the Disclaimer.

2. Eligibility and authority

  • You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction of residence.
  • You must provide truthful, accurate, complete, and current information at every stage of the application, including identity, business, and banking details.
  • If you submit an application on behalf of a registered business, a beneficiary, or as a business-development firm acting for a client, you represent and warrant that you are duly authorised to do so and that the named beneficiary has consented to the application.
  • You confirm that neither you, your business, your directors, nor your beneficial owners are subject to any United States or international sanctions designation.

3. Accounts and credentials

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity conducted under your account. You must notify Beacons immediately at support@beaconsgrant.com upon becoming aware of any actual or suspected unauthorised access, credential compromise, or impersonation.

4. Application process

  • The submission of an application creates no entitlement to approval or to any particular grant amount. Each application is reviewed on its individual merits against the published criteria of the relevant programme, jurisdiction, and funding window.
  • Application status may move between submitted, under review, needs more info, approved, and rejected. You will be notified of each material change by email.
  • Approved applications proceed to certificate release only after the named beneficiary executes the Beneficiary Declaration in accordance with Section 6 below.
  • Disbursement of funds is conditional upon (i) receipt of valid bank details from the beneficiary, (ii) successful identity and sanctions verification, and (iii) compliance with the United States foreign tax withholding regime described in Section 7.

5. Acceptable use

You shall not, and shall not permit any third party to:

  • Submit any false, misleading, fraudulent, or materially incomplete information.
  • Impersonate any natural or legal person, including any other applicant, beneficiary, or business-development firm.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, probe, or attempt unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, its database, its email infrastructure, or its verification endpoints.
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Platform.
  • Use the Platform, or any funds disbursed through it, in connection with money laundering, sanctions evasion, terrorist financing, or any other unlawful purpose.

Beacons reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate any account that violates these rules, to withhold or claw back disbursed funds, and to report serious violations to the competent regulators and law-enforcement authorities.

6. Beneficiary Declaration and electronic signature

Prior to the release of an approval certificate and prior to any disbursement, the named beneficiary (or a duly authorised representative of the beneficiary entity) must execute the Beneficiary Declaration provided through a unique, time-limited signing link. By executing the Declaration, the beneficiary solemnly affirms:

  • that the funds shall not be used, directly or indirectly, to fund, support, sponsor, or facilitate terrorism, terrorist organisations, sanctioned persons, or any other unlawful activity;
  • that the funds shall be applied solely to the bona fide charitable, social-impact, or economic-relief purpose described in the original application, within the declared jurisdiction; and
  • acknowledgement and acceptance of the United States foreign tax withholding described in Section 7.

The Declaration is executed electronically by the typed full legal name of the signatory. Such electronic signature has the same legal force and effect as a handwritten signature pursuant to the United States Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act, 15 U.S.C. §7001 et seq.) and applicable state Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) provisions. Beacons records the signed name, date, time, IP address, browser user-agent, and clauses version, and embeds this evidence as page two of the issued certificate PDF.

7. United States foreign tax withholding

Beacons, as a United States entity, is required by law to withhold thirty percent (30%) of the gross approved grant amount as a Foreign Tax Withholding under the United States Internal Revenue Code, sections 1441 and 1442 (26 U.S.C. §§1441–1442). The net amount disbursed to a foreign beneficiary will therefore equal seventy percent (70%) of the approved gross grant. A beneficiary may reduce or eliminate this withholding only by submitting a valid IRS Form W-8BEN (individuals) or Form W-8BEN-E (entities), together with supporting evidence of treaty entitlement, prior to disbursement. By accepting these Terms, you irrevocably acknowledge and accept this withholding regime.

8. Verification and certificates

Each approved application is issued a verification certificate bearing a unique reference code and QR code. The certificate is for identification of the approval only; it does not, by itself, constitute payment, entitlement, or proof of current status. The live verification page maintained by Beacons is the authoritative record. In the event of any inconsistency between a printed certificate and the live verification entry, the live entry shall prevail.

9. No fees from applicants — fraud notice

Beacons does not charge applicants any fee, whether described as a processing fee, release fee, clearance fee, courier fee, tax pre-payment, "activation" fee, or otherwise, for any stage of the application or disbursement process. Any person demanding such a payment is acting fraudulently. Beacons accepts no liability for any sum paid by an applicant to a third party in the mistaken belief that such payment is required.

10. Intellectual property

The Beacons name, logo, seal, certificate design, declaration wording, verification interface, and Platform code are owned by Beacons Grant Solutions L.L.C. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content and documents you submit, and you grant Beacons a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and reproduce such content solely to the extent necessary to operate the Platform, review your application, issue certificates, comply with law, and disburse funds.

11. No professional advice

Beacons is a grant-processing platform. Beacons is not a law firm, immigration adviser, tax adviser, financial adviser, or investment manager, and nothing on the Platform constitutes professional advice. See the Disclaimer for the full scope of this exclusion.

12. Service availability and changes

Whilst Beacons aims for high availability, the Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". Beacons may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Platform.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Beacons shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform. Beacons' aggregate liability under or in connection with these Terms shall in no event exceed one hundred United States dollars (USD 100). Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Beacons, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (i) any breach of these Terms by you; (ii) your misuse of the Platform; (iii) any unlawful or infringing content submitted through your account; or (iv) any misapplication of disbursed funds.

15. Termination

You may close your account at any time by written request to support@beaconsgrant.com. Beacons may suspend or terminate access for any breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or where required by law. Provisions which by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law, and dispute resolution — shall so survive.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of registration of Beacons Grant Solutions L.L.C., without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that State for any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms. Mandatory consumer-protection rights granted to you by your local law are not affected by this clause.

17. Changes to these Terms

Beacons may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated to active users by email. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

18. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Disclaimer, and the Beneficiary Declaration, constitute the entire agreement between you and Beacons in respect of the Platform.
