1. No endorsement
Funding partners listed on our website (including but not limited to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Open Society Foundations, Ford Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, and Kauffman Foundation) provide capital into pooled or program-specific philanthropic vehicles that Beacons Grant Solutions L.L.C. ("Beacon") administers. Listing a funder does not imply that the funder has reviewed, approved, or endorses any individual applicant, business, or grant decision. All underwriting decisions are made independently by Beacon.
2. Variable participation
Funder availability, capital allocations, geographic focus, sector focus, and program priorities change between grant cycles. Inclusion in any partner list does not guarantee that capital from a specific funder is available for a given application, cohort, country, or industry. Beacon reserves the right to close, pause, or re-scope any grant program at any time.
3. Eligibility & terms
Each grant is governed by a separate written grant agreement between Beacon and the named beneficiary. Specific eligibility criteria, reporting obligations, conditions of approval, milestone requirements, and disbursement schedules vary by program and are disclosed in writing before any award is finalised. General eligibility prerequisites include:
- The applicant or named CEO must be at least 18 years old.
- The business must be lawfully registered (or in the process of being registered) in the jurisdiction selected during application.
- The applicant must successfully complete identity (KYC) and source-of-funds verification.
- The use of funds must align with the published purpose of the grant program.
- The applicant must not appear on any applicable sanctions, terrorist-financing, or politically-exposed-persons watchlist that would prohibit disbursement.
4. No fees from applicants
Beacon never charges applicants to apply for, be reviewed for, or receive a grant. We do not request payment for "processing", "release", "tax", "insurance", "clearance", "wallet activation", or any similar pretext. Any communication — by email, phone, SMS, social media, or messaging app — requesting payment in exchange for an approval, faster review, larger amount, or release of funds is fraudulent and should be reported immediately.
Report suspected fraud or impersonation through our contact page or by emailing support@beaconsgrant.com. Include any reference codes, sender details, and screenshots — we investigate every report.
5. Verification
Every Beacon-issued approval carries a unique reference code (formatted BGS-XXXXXX) and a tamper-resistant QR code. Auditors, lenders, and partner institutions can independently verify any approval at beaconsgrant.com/verify without contacting our team. If an approval cannot be verified at that URL, treat it as invalid.
6. Funding amounts & currency
Approved amounts are denominated in the local currency selected at application and stored exactly as approved. Beacon does not perform live exchange-rate conversion. The figure on the approval document, the verification page, and the disbursement instruction is the controlling figure.
7. No financial, legal, or tax advice
Information published by Beacon — including this page, our website, our grant programs, and our communications — is provided for general transparency and operational purposes only. It does not constitute financial, legal, tax, immigration, or investment advice. Applicants and beneficiaries should consult qualified professionals in their jurisdiction before relying on any information published by Beacon.
8. Intellectual property of partners
Foundation names, logos, and marks remain the property of their respective owners and are referenced solely to identify the source of philanthropic capital. No partnership, joint venture, agency, or sponsorship relationship beyond what is expressly disclosed should be inferred from such references.
9. Reporting fraud or impersonation
If you have been contacted by anyone claiming to represent Beacon and asking for payment, personal banking credentials, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or remote access to your device:
- Do not send funds, credentials, or copies of identity documents.
- Capture the sender details (email, number, profile URL) and any reference codes provided.
- Report immediately via our contact page or to support@beaconsgrant.com.
- Where appropriate, also report to your local law-enforcement or consumer-protection authority.
